Student leadership at Kempston Academy is built and designed on British values in particular Democracy and our leadership model is based on the Democracy of Britain with student council representatives elected to stand for their tutor groups mirroring Britains MP system. The student council debate key changes they want to propose and the Prefects (who are selected via an application process and are our role models) act like the House of Lords by checking these proposals. Finally proposals once ready are submitted to SLT. This process means that change goes through the right process and students learn how to negotiate change.'
